What is Cellulite?

Cellulite consists of the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just beneath the skin. It generally appears on skin in the abdomen, lower limbs, and pelvic region. Most often, cellulite manifests itself in adult life on many areas of the body.

Cellulite is located at the subcutaneous fatty layer. There are 3 different grades of cellulite:

Grade 1 classification sees no clinical symptoms, but a microscopic examination of cells from the area detects underlying anatomical changes.

Grade 2 cellulite requires the skin to show pallor (pastiness), be lower temperature, and have decreased elasticity in addition to anatomical changes noted by microscopic examinations.

Grade 3 cellulite has visible roughness of the skin (like an orange peel) along with all grade 2 signs.

Carboxy Therapy works in three complimentary ways. First, when injected into the subcutaneous fat CO2 mechanically breaks down the fat (lysis). Secondly, it produces a strong vasodilatory effect, increasing blood flow to the area which stimulates the metabolism of fat and remodelling of scar tissue. For cellulite, with monthly maintenance treatments, eating healthy and regular exercise, result will last indefinitely. Conveniently located near the Eglinton subway, the space is clean, luxurious, and comfortable. I've had two RF microneedling sessions with Morpheus 8 and was happy with both sessions. Both technicians were sensitive and supportive and helped me to get through what is a pretty painful procedure. It's too soon to say what the full results will be as it takes months for collagen to increase and I have one more treatment left, but I'm already noticing some fading of my melasma.
