How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Most clients need a minimum of five treatments, and finer hair or darker skin can take six to eight. Only 20 to 30 percent of hairs are in the growth phase at any one time, so each session treats a different batch. Body areas are spaced six to eight weeks apart and facial areas four to six weeks apart. Bellair sells packages of three or five sessions, and every package is valid for 24 months from purchase.
Does laser hair removal work on dark skin?
Yes. Bellair uses two lasers so the treatment can be matched to your skin tone. The LightSheer diode laser is best for light to moderately pigmented skin. The CoolGlide laser penetrates deeper and bypasses pigment in the skin, which makes it safer for darker skin types. Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most people find it very tolerable. The LightSheer uses a patented ChillTip that cools the skin continuously during treatment, and sessions on small areas such as the upper lip or underarms take only a few minutes. Afterwards the skin can be red and bumpy for a short time, which is normal.
