Thermage Cellulite Treatment
Non-Invasive Radiofrequency Cellulite Treatment in Toronto
Health Canada-approved capacitive radiofrequency energy to temporarily smooth cellulite dimples through non-invasive collagen stimulation.
Thermage is clinically proven as a temporary treatment of cellulite on both the face and body. Thermage employs capacitive radiofrequency (CRF) energy to break down and shrink the fat cells responsible for visible cellulite.
According to its manufacturer, Thermage is capable of smoothing out cellulite dimples, improving wrinkles, and promoting the growth of new collagen, skin strength and elasticity. Only one treatment is needed although touchups may be recommended.
What Can I Expect During a Thermage Treatment?
A consultation is performed to ensure this treatment is right for you.
The treatment begins with a cleansing of your skin before applying the Thermage instrument. You may feel some mild soreness as the radiofrequency energy begins to heat your skin, but a built-in cooling device will keep the heat at a tolerable level.
A Thermage treatment can take anywhere from thirty minutes to several hours depending on how large of an area is being treated, but most people only require a single treatment.
When Will I See Results from Thermage?
Thermage only takes one treatment, but it takes several months to see full results. This is because your body needs time to heal and repair itself after treatment. Some patients may also experience swelling, redness, mild blistering, bumps, or other minor side effects. These will disappear within just a few days.
NOTE: Individual Results May Vary
Grades Of Cellulite
Cellulite consists of the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just beneath the skin. It generally appears on skin in the abdomen, lower limbs, and pelvic region. Most often, cellulite manifests itself in adult life on many areas of the body.
Cellulite is located at the subcutaneous fatty layer. There are 3 different grades of cellulite:
Grade 1 classification sees no clinical symptoms, but a microscopic examination of cells from the area detects underlying anatomical changes.
Grade 2 cellulite requires the skin to show pallor (pastiness), be lower temperature, and have decreased elasticity in addition to anatomical changes noted by microscopic examinations.
Grade 3 cellulite has visible roughness of the skin (like an orange peel) along with all grade 2 signs.
If you think you have some form of cellulite, we at Bellair Laser Clinic can help starting with a complimentary consultation, followed by carboxytherapy for great results.
