The JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® treatment involves the injection of KYBELLA® into the treatment area. After the injections, patients may experience bruising, swelling, and pain, which can last from two to four weeks. Patients may also develop a bullfrog neck. Generally, patients are advised to stop taking aspirin or ibuprofen prior to treatment. They should also stop taking supplements with Omega 3 fatty acids, such as fish oil and flax seed. Some patients will also have to stop consuming food or supplements containing garlic.
